Most Golfers Never Learn This Simple Strike Secret

Ashley Knoll teaches the Strike Line Drill using alignment sticks to help golfers improve club path and achieve a square impact position. She explains her One Simple Rule (OSR) for trail hand grip placement and provides a 10-second pre-shot routine to build consistent ball striking on the course.

• Set up alignment sticks on the target line plus a 30-degree diagonal stick to encourage a proper inside-out slinging motion down the target line.
• Follow the One Simple Rule (OSR): keep your trail hand in its starting grip category (top, side, or bottom) throughout the entire swing.
• Verify that the leading edge of the clubface is vertical both right before and right after impact for a neutral face angle.
• Lock in your movement using a 10-second routine: 3 continuous open-handed practice swings (6s), walk up to the ball (3s), and swing (1s).
