How to to unf*ck your golf game with one question on each shot
Golf Sidekick (Matt) introduces a powerful course management strategy centered on a single question: 'What can I do from here to utterly f*ck my score?' By identifying the worst possible outcome for each shot—such as water hazards, OB, or short-sided bunkers—and playing intentionally to avoid them, golfers can eliminate blow-up holes and lower their scores immediately.
Before every shot, identify the 'score-killer' (the worst possible outcome) and choose a club/target that eliminates it.
Prioritize clearing hazards with 'confident' clubs rather than trying to maximize distance with high-risk ones.
Aim for the 'big bone side' (fat side) of the green to avoid difficult short-sided chips or bunkers.
On the green, prioritize pace control over line to eliminate three-putts; missing on the 'high side' usually leaves a shorter second putt.
When chipping, prefer lower lofted clubs for a more predictable rollout unless you specifically need to clear an obstacle.
