Golf Studio presents the trail foot back drill to eliminate an over-the-top golf swing. By dropping the trail foot back at setup and swinging along the foot line, golfers promote a fuller backswing turn and an inside-to-out club path.
Pull your trail foot back a few inches from your standard setup position.
Allow your hips and shoulders to close slightly along with your trail foot.
Keep the clubface pointed directly at your target while swinging along your foot line.
Ensure your shoulders are not pointing left at setup, which causes cutting across the ball.
