This Is WITHOUT A DOUBT The Best Drill To Hit Driver Longer & Straighter

Professional instructor James Chown (JChownGolf) demonstrates the step drill as the ultimate method for increasing driver distance and accuracy. By focusing on proper sequencing and a dynamic pressure shift, golfers can eliminate 'all-arm' swings and find a more powerful, repeatable path.

• Start with your feet together to simplify the initial pivot and highlight balance issues.
• The 'step' must occur as the club is finishing the backswing to create the necessary stretch and lag.
• Ensure the lead foot plants firmly before the arms accelerate through the hitting zone.
• This drill naturally shallows the club path, helping to reduce a steep, slice-inducing move.
• Practice this at 50% speed initially to master the coordination before adding full power.
