Unfortunately, Pro Level Ball Striking Really Is This Easy
Golf instructor Jonathan Chown (JChownGolf) demonstrates the Ball Forward Drill to rapidly improve weight shift and low-point control for solid ball striking. By placing the golf ball opposite the lead foot while setting the clubhead in the middle of the stance, golfers learn to shift pressure forward and stay down through impact. The lesson also incorporates HackMotion wrist feedback to prevent casting and achieve natural shaft lean.
Positioning the ball opposite the lead foot with the club centered forces your weight to shift forward to hit ball-then-turf.
Staying down during the downswing prevents thinning or standing up through impact.
Practice using a 3:2 structure: three drill shots with the ball forward, followed by two shots in a normal stance.
Shifting pressure left early in the downswing keeps wrist angles passive and naturally creates proper shaft lean.
