Stuck in the Downswing? Do This Simple Drill
Getting stuck is often caused by trying to tuck the trail elbow too far in front or driving the hands at the ball.
The hands should move vertically down and slightly inward while the clubhead works out toward the ball.
A split-hand grip helps maintain the clubhead outside the hands during the takeaway and transition.
Tipping the shaft or feeling the clubhead 'pivot' over the hands prevents dragging the handle through impact.
Proper hand path leads to more efficient compression and a more natural release without flipping.
