NEW GOLFERS: LEARN THIS. #golf #golfhandicap #golfrules

Sorta Like Golf explains the Model Local Rule E-5, a crucial rule for new golfers dealing with lost balls or shots out of bounds. The video demonstrates how to take a two-stroke penalty and drop in the fairway to keep the game moving and avoid the walk back to the tee.

• Utilize Model Local Rule E-5 to avoid walking back to the tee after hitting Out of Bounds (OB).
• Identify the entry point where the ball went OB or was lost to determine your drop zone.
• Drop the ball in the nearest fairway edge, no closer to the hole, for a two-stroke penalty.
• Using this rule helps maintain a better pace of play for everyone on the course.
• Confirm with the course or tournament committee if this local rule is in effect before playing.
