Optimal Driver Ball Position for Straighter Shots

In this driver setup tip from The Art of Simple Golf, learn how aligning the ball with your shirt logo and bumping your lead hip slightly higher improves your angle of attack. Correct ball placement helps prevent arm collapse and swing compensations, leading to cleaner and straighter tee shots.

• Position the driver ball about a clubhead inside or aligned with your shirt logo rather than excessively far forward.
• Elevate or bump your lead hip slightly higher at setup to set an optimal upward angle of attack.
• Proper setup alignment prevents unnecessary swing compensations like lead arm collapse through impact.
