Beginning Putter? Start Here!

In this tutorial from The Scoring Method, beginners are taught to prioritize 'face and pace' over complex mechanics. The instructor demonstrates the 'Eyes on the Hole' drill, which encourages golfers to trust their natural hand-eye coordination to roll the ball effectively toward the target.

• Think of the putter like a steering wheel used to direct the ball.
• The two most important variables in putting are controlling the face and the pace.
• Looking at the hole while putting helps build a more natural feel for distance control.
• Don't obsess over grip or setup in the beginning; focus on the sensation of rolling the ball with your hand.
