The Lower Body Move That Made Moe Norman Unmatched | 5 Things Moe Did – Part 2
PGA-certified instructor Todd Graves analyzes Moe Norman's lower body sequence during transition and through impact. He demonstrates how bracing against the inside of the trail leg enables the pelvis to initiate downswing motion, while holding a balanced finish reinforces acceleration and swing repeatability.
Brace against the inside of your trail leg and foot at the top of the backswing to create a solid pushing point.
Avoid swaying weight to the outside of the trail foot, which prevents pelvic transition and forces an over-the-top move.
Push laterally and forward from the inside trail foot to initiate the lower body before the upper body turns.
Keep your trail foot grounded through impact to maintain stability and preserve sequencing.
Practice holding your finish position ('staying with it') to build stability and subconsciously encourage full acceleration.
