Clay Ballard from Top Speed Golf demonstrates a shallowing drill using three tee heights to ensure an inside swing path. By keeping the back turned to the target during transition, golfers give their hands time to drop down on a shallower plane.
Pause at the top of the backswing and keep your back turned to the target to give your hands time to drop inside.
Shallowing the club plane allows you to sweep teed balls cleanly without taking steep divots or hitting fat.
Practice hitting balls at high, medium, and low tee heights to verify you are delivering the club from the inside.
Avoid swinging over-the-top by steering clear of an alignment obstacle set up on the steep swing plane.
