How to Change Your Technique without Trying - THE CENTRE LINE DRILL
PGA Professional Warren Bennett presents the Centre Line Drill, an intuitive method for altering your swing path without getting bogged down in mechanics. By aiming straight at an alignment marker and working to start the ball to the left or right of it, golfers can correct slicing and hooking patterns naturally. The video demonstrates execution tips and tempo adjustments to help apply these feel-based changes on the range and course.
Aim straight at your target line using a marker (e.g., umbrella or alignment stick) placed directly in front.
Slicers should try starting the ball right of the center line to encourage an inside-to-outside path.
Hookers should focus on starting the ball left of the center line to bring the path more around and left.
Slow your swing speed down to around 50% pace to feel path and face control adjustments more clearly.
