A great drill to stop your early release in the golf swing #shorts
In this tutorial from We Play Golf, an expert instructor demonstrates a split-hand drill designed to eliminate early release (casting). By gripping the club shaft with the trail hand, golfers learn to physically hold the wrist angle until the club is horizontal to the ground, ensuring a more powerful and consistent impact position.
Place your lead hand normally on the grip and your trail hand lower down directly on the shaft.
Focus on maintaining the angle between the lead arm and the club during both the backswing and the start of the downswing.
Do not let the club 'release' until it reaches a horizontal position relative to the ground.
Slide the trail hand back to the standard grip position only after reaching the horizontal point to finish the swing.
Practice this motion repeatedly to build muscle memory for a delayed release.
