Do THIS Before Every Driver Swing... It FLIES Much Further
Alex Elliott demonstrates a simple pre-shot driver setup routine designed to increase attack angle, lower spin rates, and maximize drive distance. By adjusting tee height, ball position, shoulder tilt, and club address position, golfers can create an effortless high-launch, low-spin driver trajectory without having to swing harder.
Tee the ball higher so approximately 3/4 of the ball sits above the crown of the driver face.
Position the ball forward in your stance, aligned just inside your lead heel.
Address the driver clubhead 3 to 4 inches behind the ball to set your swing's low point prior to impact.
Tilt your rear shoulder down and back while slightly bumping your lead hip forward at setup.
Shift your weight smoothly onto your lead foot during the downswing rather than falling back onto your trail foot.
