PGA coach Alex Elliott breaks down the correct tee height for every club in your bag, from driver to irons. Following proper tee height guidelines helps ensure consistent strike quality and optimal launch angles off the tee.
Tee up your driver so that half the golf ball sits above the crown of the clubface.
For fairway woods and hybrids, set the tee low so about a quarter of the ball sits above the top edge.
When teeing up irons, press the tee almost level with the ground to simulate a perfectly clean turf lie.
