Easily STOP HOOKING Your Golf Ball (It's A SIMPLE Fix)!
PGA Teaching Pro Bob Menzies demonstrates how to eliminate golf ball hooks caused by an excessively inside-out swing path and a closed clubface. Using an angled alignment stick drill, a driver headcover obstacle drill, and an on-course lead kneecap swing visual, Menzies shows how to shift your swing path to hit controlled fades.
Golf hooks are primarily caused by an excessively inside-out club path paired with a closed clubface at impact.
Set an alignment stick parallel to your shaft angle to prevent shallowing the club too far beneath the swing plane.
Place a headcover one finger-width outside the clubhead at address for immediate feedback against swinging too far from the inside.
On the course, visualize directing the butt-end of your club grip toward your lead kneecap during the downswing to keep the clubhead in front of your hands.
