WYNDHAM CLARK’S Favorite Drill To Easily SHALLOW YOUR DOWNSWING!
PGA Teaching Pro Bob Menzies demonstrates Wyndham Clark's high-tee iron drill to help golfers shallow their downswing and eliminate an outside-in swing path. By teeing an iron high and playing the ball slightly back in the stance, golfers learn to sweep the ball off the tee and transition from steep slices to high, controlled draws.
Tee your iron shots high on a driver tee to force your swing to flatten out and avoid steep impacts.
Position the golf ball slightly back of center in your stance to promote an inside-out path.
Rehearse dropping the shaft back and shallowing in transition to counteract an over-the-top move.
Aim to sweep the ball cleanly off the tee without taking a heavy divot or knocking the tee into the ground.
Point the golf ball's logo or line toward right field as a visual guide for an inside-out delivery.
