How To Hit Awesome Greenside Bunker Shots with Grip It Girl

Amber from Grip It Girl Golf provides a foundational guide on mastering greenside bunker shots. She emphasizes an open clubface, forward ball positioning, and sitting back into the heels to ensure a smooth 'splash' rather than digging too deep into the sand.

• Open the clubface significantly before gripping the club to increase loft and bounce.
• Position the ball forward in your stance, ideally off the front heel.
• Shift your weight toward your heels and feel like you are sitting in a chair to prevent your body from dipping.
• Align your body to the left (for right-handers) to compensate for the open clubface aiming right.
• Focus on splashing a shallow layer of sand onto the green rather than hitting the ball directly.
