99% Of Golfers Make These Killer Strategy Decisions! Fix Them Now

PGA instructor Matt Fryer reveals five common strategy mistakes that cost golfers shots, backed by 2025 Shot Scope data. He explains why choosing lower loft around the greens, assessing fairway hazards, and understanding lie dynamics can lower scores faster than any swing change.

• Opt for less loft (Pitching/Gap Wedge) around the greens for more consistent run-out and higher success rates compared to a lob wedge.
• Always identify 'safe windows' off the tee by checking the distance to hazards like bunkers before selecting a club.
• Account for lies: Rough reduces spin and launch, while sloping lies pull the ball in the direction of the slope.
• Map the green by identifying 'no-go' zones and aiming for the side that offers the easiest up-and-down.
• Prioritize hitting the fairway and finding the sweet spot over chasing maximum clubhead speed with the driver.
