12/24 - How to Keep Your HEAD STILL Hitting Your Driver / The STOP START Exercise
Warren Bennett from the Warren Bennett Golf Academy teaches how to keep the head still during the driver swing to maximize speed and accuracy. He introduces the 'Stop Start' concept, highlighting how lateral head movement causes slices and poor strikes, and demonstrates a door frame drill to help golfers feel proper body separation.
Keeping your head (axis) still during the transition is vital for neutral loft and squaring the clubface.
Lateral head movement toward the target often results in an open face (slice) or a smothered hook.
The head should remain behind the ball until impact to promote natural spine tilt and an upward attack angle.
The lower body must unlock and move laterally even while the head stays fixed to create maximum power and speed.
Use a door frame at home to practice the feel of shifting your hips without moving your head off the 'axis'.
