PGA Coach Chris Ryan demonstrates the classic line in the sand drill for bunker play. By drawing a reference line centered in your stance and swinging along it, you can accurately track and adjust your club's low point and entry spot.
Draw a line in the bunker aligned directly with the center of your heels.
Position the imaginary golf ball about one clubhead width inside your lead heel.
Aim to have your club enter the sand right on the line for consistent bunker contact.
Walk down the line making practice swings to calibrate your entry point.
